This report includes a study of XXX Public Library’s social media presence and patron engagement through social media. In order to determine what XXX’s social media policy is, and how it uses social media interviews and a survey of postings were conducted. The survey was done on postings on Facebook and Twitter from October 1, 2014 – March 31, 2015 to note engagement from followers and to quantify content of posts. There were three in person interviews with the Direction of Public Relations and additional staff. Included within the study are key findings and recommendations on how to improve engagement with the community through social media.
